Christoph J. Sorg is a trained forester and mechatronics engineer. He leads sales and AI transformation at WoodRocks and myblock in industrial timber construction and prefers to work where two systems meet: timber construction and AI, economy and ecology.

Long bio 139 words

Christoph J. Sorg is a trained forester and mechatronics engineer and lives in the Bregenzerwald in Vorarlberg, Austria. For around twenty years he has been building systems at the intersection of industry, construction and technology.

At BRUSA Elektronik he built a business for onboard charging when there was no market for electric mobility yet — awarded the Bavarian State Prize for Electric Mobility. As head of innovation at the Rhomberg Holding he launched joint ventures and corporate start-ups; with Plattform V he connected more than forty companies from Vorarlberg into a cross-industry innovation platform (VCÖ Mobility Award 2021). He then turned to regenerative value creation.

Today he leads sales and AI transformation at WoodRocks and myblock in industrial timber construction. His guiding idea: systems need ground — build systems that carry without using up the ground they stand on.
