Forest andmachine.
Trained forester, studied mechatronics, twenty years of building systems — and still most interested in the place where two of them meet.
Christoph J. Sorg grew up in Munich and stayed in the Bregenzerwald, Austria. He trained as a forester and studied mechatronics. Both taught him the same thing in different words: there are forces you cannot outvote. In the forest they are called weather and slope, in series production tolerance and takt time, in companies trust.
Since then he has been building systems at the edges between disciplines: drive and charging technology for electric mobility at BRUSA Elektronik, innovation and joint ventures at the Rhomberg Holding, Plattform V — a cross-industry innovation platform for more than forty companies in Vorarlberg — and regenerative value creation.
Today he leads sales and AI transformation at WoodRocks and myblock in industrial timber construction: buildings in series, prefabricated building-services modules, and AI used against waste rather than against people.
He writes about all of this in his magazine and on LinkedIn — mostly in German. The guiding idea behind it: systems need ground.
